Penggunaan Diksi pada Karangan Narasi Siswa SMP Negeri 6 Palu

Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of the use of special diction the accuracy of the use of diction with the ten requirements for the accuracy of the use of diction in the narrative essay of 6 Palu junior high school students. This research is a qualitative descriptive Study. The type of data obtained in this Study is written data sourced from narrative essays of SMP Negeri 6 Palu students. Data collection is done by Rests, documentation, observation, and recording techniques. Based on the results of the study, 46 data were obtained from twentytwo narrative essays of grade VII student of the hammer SMP Negeri 6 Palu. Of the ten forms of accuracy of diction analyzed six results were obtained wich included the accucacy of diction : 1) use of the word denotation and connotation, 2) the use of words that are almost synongmous, 3) use of the word creation itself, 4) use of special and general words, 5) use of the sensual word, 6) continuity of word choices. From the data obtained there are also data that are not Found in accordance with the use of diction, 1) The use of words that are similar to the spelling, 2) the use of foreign endings, 3) the use of the words ididom, and 4) change the meaning of words thet are already known. The use of dition in the narrative essay of stdents needs to be im proved so that there is not mistake in writing a special eassay in the narrative essay and does not couseotner interpretations to the reader.
