Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project within the Merdeka Curriculum in a Vocational Center of Excellence in Indonesia. The study is motivated by the suboptimal implementation of the project, particularly due to limited understanding among educators regarding its technical execution in the learning process. This research aims to analyze and describe (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) evaluation, and (4) the supporting and inhibiting factors of the project implementation. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews and documentation. Informants included the principal, vice principal for curriculum, project facilitation team, teachers, and students. Data validity was ensured through triangulation, while data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that, in the planning stage, the project adopts a block scheduling system and is supported by developed implementation modules. In practice, the project begins with socialization; however, its implementation remains suboptimal due to limited collaboration with external partners, resulting in insufficient exposure to workplace culture. In terms of evaluation, the school has developed assessment instruments, but standardized reporting systems are still pending government policy. These findings highlight the need for stronger stakeholder collaboration and clearer technical guidelines to optimize project implementation.
