Abstrak

The curriculum serves as a blueprint for educational implementation that must continuously adapt to the demands of the times and technological developments. This study aims to identify the differences between the 2013 Curriculum and the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) at the basic education level in terms of terminology, structure, components, and curriculum content. The research method employed is qualitative with a library research strategy. Primary data sources include official curriculum documents such as content standards, core competencies, basic competencies, and learning outcomes, while secondary data are sourced from relevant journal articles. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman approach, involving data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate significant differences in technical terminology (such as the transition from Lesson Plans/RPP to Teaching Modules and Minimum Completeness Criteria/KKM to Learning Objective Completeness/KKTP), the basic framework, and curriculum structure. The 2013 Curriculum focuses on Core Competencies (KI) and Basic Competencies (KD) using a scientific approach, whereas the Independent Curriculum introduces the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project and prioritizes differentiated learning through project-based and problem-based models. This research is expected to provide insights for educators to ensure that the learning process at the basic education level runs optimally in accordance with the established curriculum guidelines.
